歌曲背後的故事

這是我寫的所有歌當中，最喜歡的一首。

某晚摺衫時，“誰為我而生，誰為我而死” 這兩句曲詞同來，我覺得非常悅耳，便以對聯的方式寫詞，很快便完成整首歌的曲詞。我沒有刻意作什麼，事實上也很難創作出如此曲詞俱得我心的作品，只可說是神特別送給我的禮物。

丈夫對這歌的第一反應，是它像似曾相識的武俠片歌曲，還問我有否無意中抄襲別人？為此，我用不同的軟件尋找答案，但找不到；申請版權又順利通過。於是我跟丈夫說，好聽的歌都是順耳的，這是神給予的。

通常每首中文歌也附加英文字幕，以便不懂中文的聽眾都明白內容。但無論我如何寫，英文詞仍跟音調不符，於是便向唱和音的Raphael求助。他用了三個人工智能翻譯軟件，得出一個很棒的英文版。此外，我找到另一間教會一個土生土長的姊妹，她將以漂亮和強勁的聲線唱出《誰為我而生》的英文版“Who was Bourne for Me” 。

Story behind the song

“Who was Bourne for Me”

This is my all-time favorite song that I have written.

I remember the night the enchanting melody and heartfelt lyrics for "Who was Borne for Me, Who had died for me" came to me as I was folding clothes. I proceeded to pen the lyrics in the form of couplets and before I knew it, the entire song had taken shape It was not a deliberate effort on my part. Crafting a piece that resonates with me musically and lyrically is like a special gift from God.

When I shared the song with my husband, his initial reaction was that it resembled the soundtracks of martial arts dramas. Despite his concerns, I could not find any evidence of unintentional copying and was able to smoothly secure the copyright for the song. I told him beautiful songs could sound familiar, and this song is God-given.

I usually provided English subtitles for the Chinese songs, so audiences who do not know the language can also comprehend. I struggled to find English lyrics that matched the tune of this song. With the help of our harmony singer Raphael, he used three different artificial intelligence translation software to create a beautiful English version. Further, I will collaborate with a talented native singer from another church to perform "Who was Borne for Me" with her powerful and captivating voice.
