歌曲背後的故事

在2022年的復活節前，我準備完成另一首新歌《開啟永恆》的樂譜，《罪裡釋放》（Freed by Your Love）的副歌卻不斷在腦海裡播放，就像一支大樂隊在演奏。我跟它拼勁，嘗試集中精神進行原來的計劃，但那副歌持續困擾著我。我想是神堅持要我先弄好它。我最終約在晚上11:30投降，向神祈禱說：“好的，我會先製作《罪裡釋放》。”雖然我可以使用一些以前存下的旋律片段，但寫頭兩節歌詞仍像拔牙般痛苦，每寫完一句便要祈禱求問祂的指引，皆因我根本不知道這首歌講的是什麼。直至凌晨2:30寫完此歌，我才發現這是自己創作歌曲以來祈禱最多的！

It was 2022, right before Easter, and I was all set to finish scoring of another new song "Begin Eternity". However, the chorus of "Freed by Your Love" just kept playing in my head, like, a full-blown orchestra was performing it! I battled against it, trying to stay focused on my original project, but the chorus became a persistent annoyance. I think God was insisting on me producing this one first. Finally, around 11:30 pm, I gave in, prayed, and told God, "Okay, I'll produce 'Freed by Your Love' first." Writing the first two verses felt like pulling teeth, even though I had some old melody bits to work with. I had to pray after every sentence, asking for guidance! Honestly, I had no idea what the song was even about. By the time I finished the song at 2:30 am, I realized I'd never prayed so much during a song's creation!
